Application

WEDOLIT EP 540 is used for the lubrication of sliding surfaces and guideways of mechanical expander under extremely high surface pressure in the production of large diameter pipes made of steel, e.g. for gas and oil pipelines. WEDOLIT EP 540 is used undiluted for the forming process. The product is selfemulsifying and can be removed by water. The emulsion can be used for pre- and subsequent cleaning process of the tubes and to clean the expander head. The emulsion can be treated with suitable additives to split into water and oily waste. The splitting water could be reused to approach the new emulsion.

Properties

· Very high lubricating-film stability under load

· Good adhesion to smooth surfaces, good wear protection

· Prevents stick slip

· With water easily washable / emulsified spontaneously.

· Stable emulsion, easy to split
